What is shisha?
Shisha is one of the oldest, most popular Middle-Eastern traditions that involves fruity flavoured tobacco smoked through a large pipe to produce thick clouds of smoke. Depending on which country you are in, Shisha is also referred to as Hookah, Nargile, Argileh, Argilli or Hubbly Bubbly pipe (we have actually heard people call it this!).Traditionally, Shisha smoking was only done by the elite classes in the Arab world. Nowadays, Shisha is one of the fastest growing trends within the UK due to people of all ages trying it out whilst abroad in places such as Morocco, Turkey and Egypt!
How does a shisha pipe work?
Shisha Pipes are very cleverly designed pieces of equipment. They work by sucking on a hose to draw heat onto the fruity flavour at the top of the pipe. This causes smoke to travel down the pipe, cool through water in the base and then continue up through the hose until it reaches the smokers mouth. The hot coal placed on top of the flavour is separated by foil to minimise inhalation of coal ash with the smoke.
How does an electronic shisha pipe work?
Electronic shisha pipes work in pretty much the same way as traditional shisha pipes with a key difference: they use e-liquids and coil instead of tobacco and coals.

Do you have Public Liability Insurance?
Yes we do. Our Shisha Xperts are thoroughly trained to know what precautions to take whilst setting up and supervising the shisha pipes. However, we understand that injuries can happen and therefore we hold Public Liability Insurance for our services at events - which is rare for a Shisha Hire company!
What are the sizes of your Shisha Pipes?
We only use genuine Khalil Mamoon single-hose Shisha Pipes. Our standard Shishas measure 75cm (29 inches) tall - these are usually found in Shisha lounges up and down the country. The VIP Shisha is slightly taller at 81cm (32 inches) and comes with a built-in ice chamber.
How many Shisha Pipes can I hire?
You can hire as many as you like! We do have a minimum policy of 3 Shishas depending on the location. If you're unsure, please get in touch and our team will be more than happy to advise on the optimum amount based on the size of your event and number of guests.
Does the Shisha Hire have to be outside?
Not necessarily. The Health Act 2006 only prohibits smoking indoors within premises that are open to the public. If your event is being held in a private venue, there is nothing to stop you having the Shishas inside. However, we always recommend checking with the venue management first to be sure. As an alternative, we do offer Electronic Shisha Pipes that use water vapour and are 100% legal to be used indoors in public and private venues.
What is included in the hire price?
Included in the price are unlimited charcoal, unlimited hygienic mouth tips and a choice of shisha flavour.
What Shisha flavours do you have?
We have an exclusive range of Al-Fakher and Starbuzz Shisha flavours plus our own special mixes for you to choose from. Our range has been carefully selected to ensure that there is something for everyone.
Do you provide a Shisha assistant?
Yes. For a small charge, we can provide a Shisha Xpert to professionally setup and supervise the Shishas during your event to ensure your guests get the most fun out of your Shisha hire.
How long does it take you to set up the Shishas?
It can take us anywhere from 30-60 minutes to set up. We will arrive on site at least one hour before your Shisha Hire time is due to start, this time is clearly outlined in the quote we send you.
What is the maximum amount of time you can stay at an event?
This is entirely down to how long you want us to stay for. We are happy to stay for the full duration of the event or you may choose to have the Shishas running for a part of the event.
What are idle hours for?
Sometimes it is not always possible to set up or pack away the Shishas directly before or after an event. For example, if you require the Shishas setting up at 6pm but do not want them running until 9pm, this would be charged at 3 idle hours on top of the hire costs. Please let us know if you would like to include idle hours in your quote.
How much do you charge for travel?
Travel is free within our base in Leicester, a travel charge may need to be added for events outside of Leicester. This will be clearly specified in the quote we send you.
Do you hire outside of the United Kingdom?
Yes we do. Please contact us with the location and date and a member of our team will get in touch to discuss your requirements.
How much deposit do I need to pay?
We take 50% of the total charge as a deposit to secure your booking.
What are your Terms & Conditions and cancellation policy?
Our T&C's, as well as our Cancellation and Privacy Policies, will be attached to the quote we send you.
